Lessons
Teachers That Motivate – State certified, classically trained, friendly teachers that motivate, teach many styles of music, and utilize technology seamlessly with learning.
In-Person Lessons, Hybrid Lessons and Virtual Lessons – The best of both worlds. Switch at any time for convenient virtual lessons for any reason, like sickness, bad weather, or just scheduling. Virtual and In-person lessons offer all the same great studio features.
Classical Training, with a Variety of Musical Styles – All students learn a variety of styles such as classical, jazz, rock, pop, Broadway, and current piano styles. Then we take it one step further as students compose their own pieces and original songs, and get recordings of all pieces they perform.
Musical Development – Students learn to sight-read, transpose, recognize chords and key signatures, improvise, and compose, giving them an understanding and appreciation of music which will enhance a lifelong enjoyment.
Deep Learning Articles – Learn the best practice techniques and how they help you learn piano and about yourself.
Lessons For All Ages – Special programs for the young beginners, to our middle school and high schoolers, and our adult students.
Performance Opportunities
Performing Opportunities – Informal, low pressure performance opportunities for students of all ages.
Spring Recitals – Traditional recitals in a personal setting. Students showcase their talents and hard work they have done throughout the year for their families. Students perform all styles of music including original compositions. This is a memorable event for parents and students (and teachers!).
Piano Parties – For grades K-7, for many, this is a student’s first performance in front of people, and we keep it inviting, low key, and fun. Students play piano for each other, have snacks and play games, and meet other young musicians.
Coffeehouses – For grades 8-12, a great time for a Friday night, students socialize, sing and play piano, improvise, have pizza and inspire each other.
Repertoire Parties – Our adult students come to hear new pieces, show a work in progress, and get helpful feedback. We discuss practice and performance techniques and have wine and cheese and other refreshments, and meet other like-minded students and hear a wide range of music.
Recordings and Compositions
Professional Recording Features – Digital Audio and MIDI recordings for every student. The studio uses digital pianos, computers, and MP3 and MIDI technology to enhance each student’s understanding, creativity, and skills. The Changing Musical Landscape
So much has changed in today’s music world. Music is all around us: streaming on many platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Alexa, on the radio, in commercials, in the movies, on computers, iPhones, iPads, and what we hear is a diversity that we have never had before.
Students at this studio get to contribute back to that mix. Their recordings are streaming right here on our website, on their own CDs, on YouTube – to share their music with everyone.
