Junior High is a great time for students to have an emotional outlet through music. Playing the classics and popular music allow students in junior high to express themselves and show individuality. A greater attention span also gives this level an advantage over younger children.
High school students enjoy lessons for the same reasons junior high students do, but have a greater sense of responsibility at this point. Many musicians have started at this point to find great success in the bridge between having both the concentration of an adult and the drive of younger students. This is quite a combination, and can lead to musical success.
